Fourteen year-old Robert “Bobby” DaCosta is a hothead, both figuratively, and literally. Known as Sunspot, he is a mutant who can store and wield solar power. He joined the New Mutants to learn how best to use his powers, as well as to learn to control his temper.
But some lessons are not so easily learned. When he nearly kills one of his teammates in a fit of rage, Bobby decides to run away and travel to New York. Far from escaping his troubles, he finds that the mean streets of the Big Apple present him with a different kind of danger.
This eight-issue limited series presents a chain of events which change Sunspot’s life forever.
