Amazing Spider-man
$4.99 – $374.99
Published by Marvel Comics from 1963 to 2018 with a couple of breaks from 1999 to 2002 and 2015 to 2016, this is the original flagship Spider-man for Marvel’s flagship super-hero.
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker, a shy high school student, suddenly found himself with the ability to sense danger, stick to walls, and with the proportional strength of a spider. When his uncle was killed by a burglar, Peter resolved to use his new powers to fight crime. Thus was born the Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel’s most popular character of all time.
The Amazing Spider-Man is the flagship of the Spider-Man titles which have included Marvel Team-Up, Spectacular Spider-Man, Spidey Super Stories, Web of Spider-Man, and (just plain old) Spider-Man. Since its first issue in 1963, it has featured the wisecracking arachnid in many of his greatest adventures, and has introduced such famous super-villains as the Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, the Kingpin, and Venom.
