$2.99
Chuck Dixon’s (of DC Batman fame) first comic work published by Comico in 1984.
Evangeline is a science-fiction series about a pistol-packing nun who is out to avenge the loss of a Mars-based mission. The mission had been burned to the ground by raiders, and all Evangeline’s sister nuns were murdered. Behind it all was a company called UNetCo, who was willing slaughter nuns in order to claim their land.
When Evangeline discovered what had happened, she traded in her nun’s habit for adventurer’s garb and a trio of custom-made guns. The series follows Evangeline as she tracks down those responsible for the attack, and exacts her own earthly retribution.
The series was the first independent title created by Chuck Dixon in 1984. Dixon who would later become known as one of the finest action writers in the business. He achieved special acclaim for his work on the Batman family of titles for DC.
