Batman Legends of the Dark Knight
$3.99 – $5.99
Published by DC Comics from 1989 to 2007, the series focused on Batman’s earliest adventures.
Although it eventually became just another of the many Batman titles, Legends of the Dark Knight began by telling stories of Batman’s very earliest adventures, reinventing the legend in the process. With dark, impressionistic artwork, and multi-issue storylines by greats such as Matt Wagner and Grant Morrison, Legends of the Dark Knight raises Batman from a costumed crime fighter to a mythic figure. He’s the lone savior of Gotham, a city whose heart seems as dark as a cave; and when he battles a villain such as Two-Face, he seems to be fighting not just another bad-guy, but a symptom of the disease that has infected the city.
